The Bateman Scholars Program
The Bateman Scholars Program is a FREE immersive program that helps students navigate the college admissions process and equips them for success to apply to, enroll in, and graduate from an affordable, best-fit college.

Application Deadline
Finalized applications (100% complete) are typically due by March 1 at 11:59 PM.
Important Notes
We do not provide scholarships but help Scholars find their best and most affordable options in higher education.
We also offer continued, limited support to Scholars who stay with the program throughout their college journey until graduation.
Programming is divided into 4 Tiers: Tier 1, College Compass (high-school juniors), Tier 2, College Access (high-school seniors), Tier 3, College Launch (high-school graduates) and Tier 4, College Success (college students). Certain Tiers must be applied to annually. Students may be part of the Bateman Scholars Program for 1 year up to 8 years depending on when admitted.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Before applying make sure you meet the following:
*Are you a current sophomore or junior attending one of our partner high schools?
Birmingham City High Schools: A. H. Parker, BCS Virtual Academy of Learning, George W. Carver, Huffman, P. D. Jackson-Olin, Ramsay, Wenonah, Woodlawn
Alabama School of Fine Arts
Cornerstone High School
Homewood High School
Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School
Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School
Restoration Academy
*Do you have a 3.8 GPA or higher?
*Is your combined family income (both parents/stepparents) $75,000 or less?
While we have other criteria we consider, if you don’t meet these qualifications, unfortunately this program is not the right fit for you.
